For those who care, Joel McHale's Card Sharks will be airing on Black Friday, from 4 to 8pm.

It’s Alexis Gaube’s origin story!

A couple of announcements from GSN. New eps of Hey Yahoo will start airing November 27. Also, a new show, Blank Slate with host Mario Lopez will start airing in January. The show is a "fill in the blank" game similar to Match Game. You can buy it at Target or wherever.

Here is a shot of the set of "Blank Slate"

GSN finally updated their schedule. So far it's all season 36 and only episodes that are currently featured on Pluto.

I figured they would get Barker in this. Was he ever a MG on WML? Most likely the syndie version if he was.

Not according to the Fates book, and if there HAD been an appearance, it would be on 735 YouTube channels by now.

And it's not just Barker.  Raquel Welch and Gina Lollobrigida both died in 2023, and Jimmy Carter is in the illest of health.  I don't remember that they've ever made this two week run of the classics an "in memoriam" before, but these choices can't be a coincidence.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.

It's not usually been the entire two weeks, but in past years a few of the shows have featured celebrities who died during the previous year.

Was the graphic GSN sent out over social media erroneous? It made it seem like there would be two hours of classics instead of one, with WML and IGAS each airing for an hour at 3am and 4am, respectively.
Me: Of all of the game shows you've hosted besides Jeopardy!, like High Rollers or Classic Concentration, which is your favorite?
Alex Trebek: I'd have to say To Tell The Truth, because it was the first time in my career that I got to sit down while I was hosting.

Yes, apparently. The block is only one hour with one episode of each show.

The block is only one hour with one episode of each show.

I think my love of the classics is well established by now*, but I will never completely understand this odd GSN tradition.  Two weeks of shows, which at this point are all probably available on YouTube from previous airings, airing in the middle of the night.

I forgot to mention I updated my post above with the rest of the schedule for week one of this year's panel shows. Can't recall having seen a Bruner WML? with Little Richard before.

Can't recall having seen a Bruner WML? with Little Richard before.

YouTube's search feature helpfully gave me the episode with Little, Rich.

That's the same person, right?
