Goodson wanted to find a new Feud host, ABC said no, and ABC granted him the raise.
Interesting how on one side we have Mark Goodson allowing ABC to overrule him, and on the other side we have Merv Griffin who had no problem threatening to take his show to another network if NBC didn't back off.
