This American classic returns to UK tellies on January 1

What is Jeopardy!?

According to the J! Reddit and The Daily Mail, it premieres New Year's Day at 5:45 pm on ITV. The show will regularly air 4 pm starting Jan. 2, with 20 episodes scheduled.

Really don't like the idea of giving The Daily Mail clicks but it's the only one I could find, so if anyone else sees a better link after this be my guest.

Awesome! Will have to set a reminder to tune in on NYE for the premiere - would be 12:45pm here in the east.

You went the wrong way... it would be 12:45 PM on the US east coast.

I can't really substantiate this, but I've read in a few places that Wheel Of Fortune will premiere on ITV on January 6, hosted by Graham Norton.

Based on the press release, it appears the show is airing at 12:45 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time for only the premiere -- presumably ITV is airing special New Year's programming during the day given the odd start time.

It will air at 4 p.m. U.S. Eastern Time beginning with Episode 2, meaning "Tipping Point" gets another rest (currently off the air because of the DOND revival).

The new WOF will be a Saturday night show -- looks to be eight episodes for the first season/series. Latest season of the UK's version of "The Voice" ends Dec. 30, so ITV will have a hole to fill.

UK Freeview TV listings for the period 06 Jan 24 to 12 Jan 24 are confirmed tomorrow, so we will know by then whether WOF UK starts on 06 Jan or not.

Channel 9 Australia will be filming episodes in England with Stephen Fly later next year.
