Game Show "Transitional" Openings
« on: April 15, 2024, 05:59:23 PM »
Was in conversation with another game show fanatics the other day and started talking about show opens that went from a chryoned or animated logo that would transition onto an actual logo in the studio .

For example, Whew's cartoon balloon in the opening transitioned into the hanging sign in the studio...

The original CBS Price Is Right logo in the box of chaser lights, after zooming in, transitioned onto the logo on the door that Barker, etal, would enter in from.

What other shows would fit this parameter?

This doesn't quite qualify, but it's certainly adjacent:

Not sure if this qualifies.....

TTTT '80: They keyed the on-set neon sign over the contestants, then dissolved/zoomed out to the wide set shot.

The closest I've found so far to meeting the original description would be Narz Concentration.

Dunno how much this counts, but the first couple weeks of Bergeron’s Hollywood Squares had the title screen “shrink” to fit the screenshot on the big screen on set.

Double Talk and Go, the logos would flash on the screen and then fly into the real ones on the set.

Or how about this "transitional" opening from a 1974 episode of the original Jeopardy!, as was the case in its later years on NBC?
