I'm a little surprised we hadn't heard anything about this up until now.  Our group usually has its ears to the ground, and a major series network revival would seem a hard thing to keep secret.

Schedule-wise , what does "Winter break" mean? Limited series of this, Price, and Deal?

(took CBS long enough to do this to cross promote their shows.)

Variety has more specifics on that:

The gamer will run on Wednesdays at 10 p.m. ET starting in January, paired with “The Price is Right at Night” (hosted by another Drew — Drew Carey, that is) at 8 p.m. and a new season of “Raid the Cage,” hosted by Damon Wayans, Jr. and co-host Jeannie Mai, at 9 p.m. The three shows will air during a midseason break for CBS’ regular Wednesday schedule of “Survivor” and “The Summit” (fall) and “The Amazing Race” (spring).

So Drew joins Whoopi Goldberg, Joan Rivers and Paul Lynde in the center square club. Now we need a host. If I were Todd Newton's agent . . .

Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Paging Mr. Bergeron...

Is there a chance that he really could retake the podium?

Now we need a host. If I were Todd Newton's agent . . .

Why?

/Wondering if Rich Fields will try to make himself announcer.
It was a golden age of daytime network television... Game Shows... Hosted by people who actually knew that the game was the star... And I wish it was still that way - both that game shows were on all morning and that they were hosted by actual game show hosts. - Bob Purse, Inches Per Second

1) I'd be a little gunshy to book as host someone approaching seventy years old, also I thought he wanted to retire.
2) The love for Todd Newton runs thick and deep through some people.
If you didn’t create it, it isn’t your content.

Well, they DID tap a 76 year old Regis Philbin to host Million Dollar Password.  And Tom did host a pilot for a non-cable version of TTD a couple of years back.

Let's get one thing straight: the era of Game Show Hosts Hosting Game Shows is dead. Finito. Kaput. Stop trying to make Todd Newton happen. It's never going to happen.

I’d put Drew up in Rose Marie’s square not Lynde’s, but maybe that’s just me.

For kicks, who are some names that might do well in the center square or a corner? I’d say Craig Ferguson has the chops. Was Nick Cannon good on Hip-Hop Squares? He’d have broad appeal.

The sane network had an 85-year-old do five full hours a week. Making prime-time coin to do a handful of shows is a decent reason to be active in retirement.

The sane network

Ok, I think CBS has earned that title. So, which network earns the opposite title?
