Joining the streaming service wars: Chick-Fil-A
« on: August 21, 2024, 07:19:29 PM »
If you've ever sat and thought to yourself, "We don't have enough streaming services*" then you're in luck. Chick-Fil-A is adding its hat to the ring. No word on whether they'll air content on Sundays.

Quote
We hear that this includes a family-friendly gameshow from Glassman Media, the company behind NBC’s The Wall, and Michael Sugar’s Sugar23, which is behind series such as Netflix’s 13 Reasons Why. Deadline understands this show has been handed a ten-episode order.

Now celebrating his 22nd season on GSF!

I presume that when the host thanks the losing contestants for playing, they'll be instructed to respond with "my pleasure."

At least craft services will be decent.  As fast food goes, Chick Fil-A can be reasonably healthy and tasty.

I'm sorry, but really?

Those of you who know me know how I feel about this company. I'm not going to threadjack further.

Suffice it to say that this is totally superfluous.

Well, that's *one* streaming subscription that I don't have to worry about affording.

Notwithstanding that I don't typically spend any time on the FAST channels these days, I'd be interested to know what the financials are. CFA may be a huge brand to the consternation of some but I don't see them creating original content so they have to lease it from somewhere. Maybe it's something that will play on in-location screens to keep people's attention.

Ben and I chatted about this yesterday, and it sounds like it’ll be another “family-friendly” network (like Nick I’ll keep my thoughts on that to myself) and I imagine CFA is lending its name the same way Hallmark does to its channel.

So essentially another place to show made-for-TV movies with 90s sitcom stars.

I'm waffling.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
