Banzai has found a new home in America on the Comedy Central cable network.Six episodes of the series aired on FOX during the summer of 2003 - but the show generated controversy, with the Media Action Network for Asian-Americans calling it "an Asian minstrel show."Stephen Lambert, director of programmes at the show's producers, RDF Media, explained:"I think Comedy Central in many ways in the best possible home for it. In the UK, it's a show that really pushes the envelope in terms of outrageousness and what it can show. I believe this network will be more comfortable with the cutting-edge and risky nature of the series."Ten episodes of the series have been ordered so far by Comedy Central, Variety reports.
