According to insiders, “The Perfect Line” is trivia game that includes questions about from world events, pop culture, sports, science and other topics. Contestants are given a category and then arrange events, items or people order — such as arranging six actors in the order of their worldwide box office gross.

Winners are able to create “the perfect line” via that correct order, and try not to be eliminated after every round. The last person standing plays a final round for a chance at $10,000.

The internet is telling me that CBS Media Ventures is also responsible for Pictionary, which falls under the same umbrella as 25 Words or Less and Person Place or Thing, so I have to think that there's a lot of reused concepts by default.

I also think GSN is probably looked at as an industry leader in daytime game shows (if for no other reason than volume) so it would make sense to emulate their style because that's what works.
