40th anniversary of the Eubanks/Rafferty run, I guess?

A year early for even that; Eubanks started 1/6/86, Rafferty was 9/8/86.

Also a Valentine's event at 12noon the week of the 10th. I believe that Combs Feud batch is the one with the infamous clip. Name another name for a wife. "bitch!".  It's been in the reels for years

BUZZR's started airing an updated promo that removes any mention of the "40th anniversary"

Stuff like this makes me wonder sometimes if they have somebody who checks in here once in a while.  Because while we're making a big deal about it, who else would possibly care?

I don't know whether that's the case, and while it would be flattering, I think it's more likely there were comments made directly on one of Buzzr's social media channels.

I am not bothering to check this before posting, but didn't at least the premiere of Eubanks CS have 1985 as a copyright date in the credits?

At least the first few shows would have been taped in late 1985, right? Not saying that's the reason the copyright would be 1985, but I seem to recall it.

The first five shows had 1985 copyrights.

But man, if that's really how they got their "40th Anniversary" number, that means nobody in any position of oversight caught that this was a remake of a virtually identical 1978 show, nor did they spend even ten seconds to look up airdates.

Correct, as it was Goodson policy to go by tape date rather than airdate at the time.

So does anybody have any notion as to what CS episodes we'll see this week?

I'm glad BUZZR dusted off the "Jim Perry 3000th" episode (airing right before the Perry finale on 2/12)--I could use a better quality copy.
