One full-hour game show vs. Two 30-minute shows
« on: Today at 03:07:39 PM »
After seeing that the new HS show on CBS is two 30-minute broadcasts, I was wondering how many like shows presented this way, (including HS, Celeb FF, Pyramid, etc.), and how many would rather see a full-hour program, featuring one extended game.

FTR, I got a bit worried when the first episode of HS, had only one game played, plus the bonus round.  Of course, the second ep. had one completed game, the second incomplete, and the bonus round

McHale’s Card Sharks did two separate half hours as well.

I prefer two 30-minute shows. They usually pace much better and don’t stretch to fill time, although CS did suffer from that issue.

As I alluded to in another thread, they need to speed it up a bit   to an H˛ pacing if they want a good 30-minute show.

The pacing in both eps last night would be good for asingle 60-minute show -- then contestants can play 2-3+ full games and each win a bit more cash.
