My experience was the same as most.
Saw it last night (Sunday) at 9:45pm in suburban St. Louis. I was the only person in the theater.
I enjoyed the movie. Hauser and Coggins were very good. The sets were amazing. Lots of small details I didn’t care for. For example, at one point Michael is told he can’t make a phone call because of Standards and Practices. But later in the movie, characters are freely roaming the halls. It was odd. Also, when did TV control rooms ever look like 80’s hotel living rooms??
Liberties were taken with the truth, but we knew that would be the case. I always thought the villain in the story was CBS, not wanting to pay out. Here, it’s the producer.
I was expecting more of a thriller, along the lines of “Confessions of a Dangerous Mind”. And the ending is non-existent. There’s not even a post script telling you what happened.
It wasn’t a bad way to spend a Sunday night, but I don’t think I’d go out of my way to see it again on streaming or cable.
