Didn't TJW use the "wubba" effect before DD?

My recollection (hazy as it is) is that the "wubba" effect in the bonus round didn't start until the 1979-80 or 1980-81 season of TJW (which would be well after Trebek DD).

If we're talking about the electronic sound heard when the arm was pulled in the end game, that was there all throughout the syndicated run of "TJW," but not during the original network run.

And when Orville White went on "IGAS" as a contestant, they put a foot switch underneath Garry's desk so that he could continue his duties as sound effects man (you think the panel would turn around and see Allan Sherman cueing him?).

I don't believe it was heard in the first syndie season, unless it was added partway through -- I definitely don't hear it on my copy of the first syndie episode.
