Karn Feud question

Why doesn't Karn Feud use the score overlay on the gameboard during Fast Money? I know the actual point total is shown on the bottom of the gameboard like always, but if they used the score overlay in fast money, it would avoid $5 a point errors. For example, I have a season 4 rerun I taped off of PAX, and in it the family doesn't win the $20k. I think they got like 105 points or something. I would have to check the tape. Anyhow, as Richard closes the show, he mentions that the family gets $5 a point, for a total of $511! All of us here know, that's not possible. So if they used the score overlay during Fast Money, mistakes like these could be avoided. Is there a specific reason why they don't use it currently?
