Some news for the US fans who get to see the British episodes now and again that insiders from production company Celador has said that the popular Quiz Show has been recomissioned for a further two years from now and up to the late spring of 2006, which means:

*An extra two seasons since each season run from September to May
*An extra four series with a series from September to December and January to May so it would mean production for Series 16-20.
*Around 80 episodes will be made (40 per season) and would break the 400 Episodes Mark.

From the ratings it achieves from the weekly Saturday edition, its usually ITV1's highest rating show of the night, (When Ant & Dec are not on otherwise it would be second), although Casulty is the winner of the night it still pulls in 6/7 Million a week. Those who followed the news summer when the show was on their regular summer break the Saturday night schedule collapsed with Judgement Day being axed after two of the six shows aired, with The Vault failing to achieve the same results which Millionaire did in the same timeslot. However there is a third series planned for the summer, but the host is yet to be determined whether its Melanie Sykes (Who is currently three months pregant) or Davina McCall (Most likely as she will finish her second run of Love On A Saturday Night come June and has done Big Brother and The Vault within 24 Hours of each other).

No news yet whether ITV1 will recomission "Classic Millionaire" which has got an option to cover Series 5-7 across 50+ X 30 Min episodes.
