Oh wait- The OTHER Richard Kline? Well in that case, I'd have to say Strike It Rich, since it had a lot of PYL elements in it, right after PYL ended on CBS, and before it's start on USA.
WCAU in Philly(then CBS, now NBC) and WCBS in NYC both placed SiR86 on their schedule upon the ending of PYL on 9/29/86, 9:30AM EST on WCAU and Noon EST on WCBS.
Thank you for that wonderfully useless information that nobody asked for, Zach.

When I was living in Atlanta Georgia, I went to the public library up there and looked at Old TV Guides, and I was looking at a January 1986 issue of TV Guide, and I noticed a Print Ad from WAGA-TV 5 then-CBS now-Fox that they had a Game Block the Print Ad was titled "We've got the Winning Combination" with J! at 4:00 and BTB at 4:30

Well, I think that says everything we need to know.

Oh, and promoting Proboards forums won't earn you any points here either.

While I know who this "JacksonBrowne1980" character is and I don't necessarily like him, you can't tell him what he's allowed to advertise in his signature.

ObKline&Friends: I liked Rayburn's BtB too, but my favorite K&F game show is Win Lose or Draw.

Has anybody brought up 3rd Degree? It was an interesting venture - I remember seeing print ads for it before it debuted, saying "sometimes the best ideas are the simplest.." Well, yes, stealing another successful format, I've Got A Secret, is easy. I used to refer to the game as "IGAS on speed" or "We've Got A Secret". What did those of you who saw it think of it?
GOOD POINTS - based on a successful format, contemporary speed, clever secrets to guess.
BAD POINTS: Allowing two players to interrogate at the same time often had either one person monopolizing or the two would talk over each other, hesitate, whatever, but it wasn't smooth. Trying to duplicate the casual "homey" play and set concept they used in Win Lose or Draw made it seem like a game being played in a basement. It wasn't a horrible set, but it could have used a few traditional touches.
But that's me...your thoughts?

In Houston, it was KHTV (now KHWB) weekdays @ 9:30 am in-between Dating Game reruns & Catch Phrase.

Win, Lose or Draw's my favorite Kline game!  And I'm glad they chose Mama!

Actually, no, they are not. I remember seeing the end credits to Break The Bank with the various production and distribution groups listed and thinking, "All these companies behind it and the show is still a piece of garbage?!?". No wonder Gene Rayburn never wanted to talk about it.
Were there two versions of the closing theme? I know Brian Karimzad's page had one version, which I found really catchy. Then there was another version that I think John Chartier put on his site a couple of years ago, but that one was really repetitive and actually somewhat annoying.
Karmizad's site features the opening theme, which is a lot less brassy than the closing theme.

Even though I've never seen SIR86, Jimmy's GS Videos Page featured the SIR86 opening one time, and that's how I was able to pinpoint it.
