During the "Not Top Ten" segment last night on SportsCenter, if you were paying close attention to the titles of the plays, the titles turned out to be named after classic game shows. They were: Pitfall, What's My Line, Joker's Wild, Singled Out, The Gong Show, Classic Concentration, Double Dare, Now You See It, and some renamed ones(Not So Super Password, Tic Tac.........D'Oh!).

Very clever.  But calling "Singled Out" a CLASSIC game show sort of stretches the usage a bit, dunnit?

Any show hosted by Chuck Woolery is a classic.

What's that?  He didn't do that one?!  I followed his career for years! :-)

Not to those who were fans of that show, it doesn't. Weird!

Now seriously, wouldn't Beat the Clock, The Big Payoff, or Press Your Luck been more suitable?

Cordially,

Singled Out was hosted by Shipmates' Chris Hardwick.

His father's a PBA bowler named Billy Hardwick.  He named his son after ABC Sportscaster Chris Schenkel.
