Did Jeopardy! acknowledge Steven Dorfman?
« on: March 25, 2004, 11:39:04 PM »
Okay, since I stopped working at Jeopardy! I haven't seen the show more than, I dunno, 40-50 times in the last 14 years, but I saw this week that the credits no longer list the late Steven Dorfman, so I'm thinking that we are now in the post-Steven era of Jeopardy!

Did they mention, pay tribute, say anything about the guy during the show in the last few weeks?

Just wondering.

I watch the show pretty regularly, and I never saw any on-air mention.  Also, the folks that frequent Sony's own Jeopardy board watch a lot more carefully than I do, and I don't recall any of them saying anything about such a mention either.  So chances are they didn't.  Trebek and Harry Friedman were both quoted in obituaries.
This has been another installment of Matt Ottinger's Masters of the Obvious.
Stay tuned for all the obsessive-compulsive fun of Words Have Meanings.

And looking at that pitiful excuse for a "set," words can't express how much I'd love to at least have the grid set back. :-P

(Still love the show, but the set is a mess.)

It's not actual show content, but the new Jeopardy book is dedicated to Steven.

I heard from another member of the Jeopardy! Alumni Association that there will be a tribute to Steven on tonight's show, April 21.

It was a very  nice tribute. All of today's content was written by Steve.

Well, go figure... I was starting to watch that, and all of a sudden we get a bunch of tornado warnings. *sigh* I happen to miss all the good things.

Alex mentioned Steven's passing during the commercial break before FJ.

After the break, he also mentioned that Steve wrote the FJ clue for today's show.

And Steven was holding an Emmy!  Good job for 20 years!!!  We'll miss you.

Dear Lord, do you mean to say that you actually broke down and watched the show?!
