How could Now You See It 1985(Pilot) and NYSI 1989 be improved?

In NYSI 89's case, get a less egotistical host who isn't afraid to let his shows be repeated.... :-)

What type of clues were given for the words on the 89 version, for the first round and the bonus round. Also what shows did the 89 version compete against in its time slot?

Thanks

The only network competition that NYSI89 had was "Classic Concentration" on NBC as ABC didn't/doesn't start network programming until 11am (EST), and NYSI aired at 10:30 a.m.

The same kind of clues used in the bonus round on the 70s show were used in the 1989 bonus round. The same kind of questions used in the first round on the 70s version were used in the 1989 version's first round. The second round on the 1989 version was played against the previous day's champion and had the players finding five words in a given category on the gameboard.

Interestingly enough. NYSI 89 and CC used the same sound effect. That sound that was used when a CC door was opened was used as a sound when the NYSI puzzleboard was revieled.

How to improve NYSI 89 ? Kinda tough, since it's been cancelled.
