Indeed you did!  The Whew! clip featured on the "Easy Money" video was a $10,000 Gauntlet win (after defeating all 10 villans by correctly by answering their questions), on which Betty White and John Saxon were the celebrity contestants.  About halfway through the show's run, Whew! changed its format and switched from civillan contestants to 2-player teams, consisting of a civilian contestant and a celebrity.

How this answers your question! :-D

Thank you for the additional info!

My question is I don't remember the change from the number of the villain being put in a bubble near the villian's mouth as opposed to the number being on the villian's impeding arm.

It was called Joker's Jive (by Alan Thicke); it was used from 1974-1975, and the first year of the syndie version, before the whistle theme.

Oh by the way, here is a good-quality MP3 of the theme. [/quote]
That sounds a little like this calliope that I have that plays Christmas carols.  Gotta love Moog synthesizers.

Sorry if you already discerned the answer from that earlier stuff, but this change came with "Celebrity Whew!" or at least sometime into the run. Obviously that player chose to run the second half the Gauntlet as most of them seemed to do. Besides the format changes, there were stars added to the orange corrugated doors in front of the main game board & Gauntlet.

That was a very classy ending to TJW... in my opinion... though I thought it was kind of weird to have Jack mention Dan Enright very prominently at the end.  I didn't think he was ever mentioned in the credits at all on that show... because of the whole scandal thing.

I think Jack and Dan reunited during the final months of CBS's TJW run, but didn't have joint mention in the end credits until BtB76.

Enright was listed as EP in "TJW"'s final network months, replacing John Tobyansen--but the re-partnership didn't become official until "BTB."

Of course, with network "TJW" the important credit was the "Vice President in Charge of Production" at the end of the roll--Jack Barry.

Now if CBS would have cancelled "The Joker's Wild" exactly four weeks earlier, imagine the irony and possible urban legends if the the last episode was #666...
