While he doesn't technically use cue cards to play a game, there are cue cards before each game to alert/remind Barker which game he will play next.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

So what lesson can we learn?

If you ever make a game show, don't use black floors.

What's weird is that Bob was about the only person there that day who didn't see them "come on out."
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Think it over.  He was standing behind Door #2 waiting for his entrance, with no studio monitors near him.  It's very possible that he didn't know what was going on, except that something *was,* from the audience's reaction.

Those of you who've seen how things are set up backstage (and knowing that things like that are pretty much the same then as now)--is that a correct assumption that Barker can't see any monitors where he makes his entrance?

Sure, he didn't know what went on, and he didn't actually see the incident. That's why it's interesting that he vividly remembers "she came on down and they came on out."

Think about it --- if there's *one* person who'd be able to get his hands on a copy of that tape before the censors do, who would it be?

There is 1 monitor on each side of Door 2.

You can see the monitor in this photo:

It's centered, so Barker couldn't really see it unless the monitor was tilted towards him or he stepped back to see it.
