Toni, you certainly don't have to explain nor feel guilty
of defending your brother! I'm only sorry that your post
came under the unfortunate circumstances that it did, and
I hope you and your family KNOW that we all don't sit around
and debate Ray's fate.

***** As for the OP, I hope he's LEARNED something from this
experience.****

PLEASE, let's stop bickering in this thread, and let's show Toni
that we're worthy of HER company. She has been MORE than
gracious to come here!

Kudos to you Toni, I'm sure your brother would be very PROUD
that you came here to stick up for him.

And, Kudos to Chris as well. Thanks unlocking this thread so that Toni
could say what she felt was important.

Toni,

I think what you did really took a lot on your part, and really showed how much you loved (and still love) Ray. I'm very impressed by it.

Welcome to our little corner of the web...please enjoy your stay! :-)

When I was a kid, I grew up watching your brother host the Feud. He did such a great job and I am so glad I got to enjoy him on television every day. He's someone I think many people look back on and think about how well he did to make the show his. I'm not sure he was properly appreciated in his lifetime.

Your thoughts on your brother are always welcome here. He was an important part of one of the best game shows ever and he is certainly missed. I thank you so much for taking the time to share what you did about him.

Toni, it was more than well worth reading and thank you for sharing.  May God bless you and your family.  Furthermore, Ray's sense of humor brought a different dimension to "Family Feud".  He was a very energetic person with a warm personality when I watched his shows on CBS.  He is truly missed.
Welcome to the club and may you have a great stay with us.

 It's called "extremely wishful thinking."

Consider it an improvement -- at least he's not calling Aaron Handy "muffin" again.

Toni, I'll echo what the others have said. I'm sorry things unfolded the way they did, and I'm glad you're still willing to talk to us. I hope you stay with us for a long time.

If I may, I'd like to recall one of my favorite Ray Combs moments.

Ray: Ok [Player 1], name something you should never play with at any time.
Player 1: I'll say a chain saw.
(laughter)
Ray: I can just picture that. You walk into the garage, and your son's standing there going RUNGA-GUNGA-GUNGA! RUNGA-GUNGA-GUNGA! ... Yeah. That's a good answer. (mouths "NO") Ok, show me "chain saw"!
[X]
Ray: Not there. Okay, [player 2], do you have an answer?
Player 2: How about someone else's girlfriend?
(laughter)
Ray: Sure. You're playing with the girl, and the boyfriend walks in and sees you, and he goes RUNGA-GUNGA-GUNGA! RUNGA-GUNGA-GUNGA!

I might as well share one of mine favorite moments too. Actually two great moments. One came from the Halloween special in 1991 (CBS version)

A family was trying to steal a bank, and there was a little fake pumpkin sitting on their podium. So after Ray goes down the line, he goes to head of the family:

"Give me an answer in 3 seconds or the pumpkin gets it."

The next one, came from the following day. Ray comes out in the intro with a black balloon, sucks all the air out of it, and talks in a really high voice. Then later, a contestant gives an answer in a sorta high voice, and Ray goes:
"Who gave him the balloon I sucked air out of at the top of the show?" Or something to that effect.

Thanks for bringing some laughter to my face once again. I just watched episode this evening that i had taped on tivo funny men against funny women where the the first man got the 200 points by himslef and they let the 2nd guy go on and try to pull goofy answers out of his but  and it was hilarous. I love it when Raymond plays around like that and to see Brad Garret so young just brings back so many memoried. I remember when we opened our 2nd omedy club and he was datinf nikki trebek Alex Trabek's daughter and we were all at the Waterfront nightclub dancing and his tall lanky body missed one off the steps to the dance floor and he broke hise ankle it was hilarious for us but not for him. that was during our opening week of out comedy club thank god for Nikki she had to Nurse him the whole time. Nikki worked on the fued with Raymond. Oh well enough babbling.
goodnight everyone

I agree. Certain members are coming dangerously close to that other place we used to frequent. Let's not go back there.
