Those big red buttons
« on: May 10, 2004, 06:56:44 PM »
I've been trying to get a specific ID on those big red buttons on yellow bases that we've seen on so many game shows. From what I've been told, they're from Newark (www.newark.com) and they cost a lot of money. But I'm not having any luck figuring out exactly which button is the big red (mushroom?) button on yellow base. Does anybody know anything more specific?

Randy West told me long ago that the buttons come from an Italian company called Breter. I checked their product lineup, and sure enough, they do have buttons that look just like the ones from PYL!

Download this and go to page 13....do those little red and yellow buttons look familiar? The particular model numbers, BTW, are 4090R and 4091R.

[you'll need Acrobat Reader...which I doubt anyone here DOESN'T have]

There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.
