Broadcasting and Cable:

>>Former Sci Fi Channel programmer Ian Valentine has been named senior VP of programming for GSN. Mr. Valentine will head the network's efforts to acquire programming from genres such as reality shows, casino-based programs, traditional game shows, specials and documentaries.

"Ian brings two decades of experience to his new position as GSN programming chief, including six years in key programming positions at basic-cable networks, three years in broadcast programming and six years as an agent," said Rich Cronin, GSN's president and CEO. "He has developed hit programs in a variety of genres, and he has experience with interactive TV as well as network repositioning."<<

We shall see.

Interesting, someone from an era of Sci-Fi when you don't expect showings of "The Flintstones" taking one of Game Show Network's highest position. That's right, I'm still calling this channel by its full name. Maybe they will in a couple of years.
