Lingo Theme Question
« on: July 09, 2003, 04:08:19 PM »
I went on ASCAP's website to see who wrote the Lingo theme. They listed Pieter Souer, who I could've sworn wrote it, but then, the results also showed John Toben and John Nordstrom had written Lingo themes/cues. So, does anyone know wrote the familliar theme to the show? I couldn't find this info on ANY of the Lingo fan pages out there.

Thanks in advance,
Jim

PS: I was unable to get an exact link to the search results for Lingo, but here's the link to thier search engine, if you're curious...

The end credits spell PIeter Souer as Piet Soer. If the theme for the Dutch Lingo is the same as what the current US version uses, then Soer is more likely to have composed it than Tobin or NOrdstrom(who did the Hollywood Showdown theme)

The ASCAP ACE search engine lists him as both Piet and Pieter. Thanks for all the other info, Zach. I appreciate it.
