I do wish Jeopardy would find someone that can beat Ken Jennings.. instead of all these players who get clobbered by him.

I mean, someone's gotta be better than him at some subject on the show.
It would be nice if they pulled a Blockbusters, and allowed former "retired champions" to come back and perhaps continue their reigns of terror.

COUGH...COUGH..Eddie Timanus..COUGH COUGH

And speaking of past & present posters, what day next week does a certain poster appear as a contestant??
Alex Trebek agrees to grow back his mustache if Ken Jennings wins 50 games or $1,000,000. Which ever comes first

When one of the other contestants buzzes in and they're wrong, Alex shouts "YOU FOOL!!!" at them.
Not only that, but I heard a rumour that Alex plans to revive his infamous "Pitfall Dance of Joy" if anyone manages to be ahead of Ken by over $10,000 at the end of any round.

 Damn really!!

Man I've been out of touch...I always figured both Wheel and J! go into repeats at the same time.

Looks like I got eps to catch up on....Perhaps I'll have to start watching the Saturday reruns to catch up.  lol

Actually, "J!" did do only 39 weeks its first couple of seasons.  It went to the current schedule after it had started the college and teen tournaments, neither of which were done in the first season, IIRC.
Imagine if J! still gave away cars for every five games. Of course, it would be on a much smaller scale with the unlimited wins (the Chevrolets offered were at least $30K, and the Jag was, what...$50/60,000?), but still, maybe something like a Chevy Cavalier or so...
The Chevrolets that were given away on J! (Corvette Coupe, the pair of Camaros, the Suburban and the Tahoe) were at least $40,000.

The Jaguar was the X-Type which was at least $34,000 (for the 2.5 model).

OK...I forgot that it was two Camaros, but I didn't know the Tahoe was $40K.

$34K for the Jag is what really surprised me. I thought they were offering the convertible.

I bet you right now, that if not for this run, J! would be into summer repeats by now.  I just can't imagine having this guy win 10+ games and suddenly putting him on ice for two months, although it would be interesting to see if Ken could still hold his magic touch after a summer hiatus.
J!'s season finale is always six weeks before Labor Day(save for last season, when they bowed on September 8th). The season finale is scheduled to air 7/23, Ken or no Ken, and the new season premiere is on 9/6.

It was the now defunct Seniors and Teen tournament(besides the TofC) in 1986-87 and 1987-88. The College tourney debuted in the 1988-89 season

Jaguar only has one convertible, the XKR, and it is more than $75K.

The $34K Jag model you are talking about is the X-Type 2.5, the X-Type 3.0 is more than $40K.

I hope J! will start giving away Cadillacs and Lincolns.

TPIR does that.

They aren't gonna. If you haven't noticed they no longer give out cars, just cash.
