'Game Show Math'

Let's try something I'd like to call 'game show math.' This was inspired by some of the math questions used on NICK's Double Dare. Ready?

1.) Add the number of celebrities on any episode of Hollywood Squares to the number of celebrities on any episode of Match Game '7X, and then divide by the number of 'rooting sections' on Tattletales.

2.) Add the number of competing couples on The Newlywed Game to the number of competing familes on Second Honeymoon, and multiply by the number of words used in the Password 'lightning round.'

3.) Add the number of 'mystery categories' on The Joker's Wild to the number of 'Winner's Circle subjects' on any version of Pyramid, then subtract from that total, the number of bachelors/bachelorettes hoping to be selected on any round of The Dating Game.

4.) Multiply the number of video games used on Starcade by the number of announcers on Scrabble, and add the number of kids who took part in the second bonus round on Child's Play.

5.) Subtract the number of hosts of Win, Lose or Draw from the number of celebrities on Just Men, then multiply by the number of obstacles in the final round of Double Dare

 #2 is wrong.  (4+3)*5.  Just 35.

10 bachelors/bachelorettes on The Dating Game?  You sure you're not confusing The Dating Game with Joe Millionaire, Adam? :-)

Negative 24?  Reread question 5 again...unless Double Dare had a negative number of stunts on the obstacle course.  Maybe in a parallel universe...

I was subracting 3 from 7, which gave me a negative number. Also, I didn't know too many of the correct numbers of things on the shows mentioned

OK, let me try this: subtract 3 from 7. Start with 7, take away 3 from that 7, and you get 4. Huh. Positive.

Full explainer: 3 WLD hosts (Bert, Vicki, Robb). 7 guys on Just Men. So far, 7-3=4. 8 obstacles on Double Dare. 8x4=32.

For 3: 7 Joker mystery categories, 6 Pyramid categories. 7+6=13, minus 3 bachelor(ette)s=10.

We're not counting the person choosing the date, are we? Since technically, he or she is a bachelor(ette) as well.

What happened was I misread. I was thinking 3-7, not 7-3.

 These days, it's usually about 2 or 3. :)
