Well, I've been wrapping up many a loose end this weekend, and my first foray into Visual C++ is ready to be played with! Anyone who has an interest is welcome to head over to
http://fredsmythe.com, click the Downloads link, and pick up my Jeopardy Challenger For Windows and see how you like it!
I know it'll work on Windows 98, ME, 2000, and XP. I am not totally sure about '95, and you _might_ have to have the .NET Framework installed on your machine, which you do if you have been keeping current with Windows Update like a good user should.
Feedback, of course, is welcome, especially if you spot a bug of some kind. (Also, if the button labels don't render on your machine properly, I want to know. I _THINK_ everyone has Arial Narrow, which is what I used for everything, but I could be wrong.) Once I'm satisfied that it's reasonably bulletproof and I get icons built for it and installed, I'll rev it to v1.0 and start thinking about upgrades. (First on the list will be stateful wager buttons...there will be a radio button pair for Single / Double Jeopardy and only one set of 5 wager buttons, and they will read $200-$1000 or $400-$2000 depending on which radio button you select.)
So, have a look!
