According to Da Perf this is the Detour from the Amazing Race:
"The journey went through a 10-mile section of Calcutta where the teams entered taxis, only to find the cabs were engineless and had to be pushed to a large flower market.
After they released a garland into the Ganges River, they then made their way to the Pit Stop, the Victoria Memorial in Calcutta."
Apparently his Tivo went haywire and merged the two tasks into one. The choice was to either push a cab to a garage (the teams didn't know the cabs had no engines) *OR* find a flower shop and carry a lei to the Ganges...not do both.
I would have emailed Da Perf but the last time I pointed out a mistake, I was met with a very un-Christianlike response.
