3. Wipeout - Very Late 80's Rockish.
4. Classic Concentration. - Perfect theme for a perfect show.
5. Sale of the Century 1986 - Strange It's titled in 1986, when I beleive the theme premiered in 1988, still a great theme.

He's also been told that we have names...and they're not "Dsmith", "Clemon79",or "tvwxman".

At least, I don't think your birth certificate says that.

Faves:
TTTT '80
Match Game-HS Hour
Password Plus

Hate 'em:
TTTT '90 (I just feel that they tried too hard to take a late-'60s pop song and turn it into some classy work of art.  I appreciate the instrumentation, but the tune didn't fit the instruments that were playing it)
Monopoly
Child's Play

In all fairness, Mark, some names here are a little harder to find than others (although yours, Chris L.'s, and Matt the weather guy's aren't among them).  Some people *want* to hide behind the alias.

Not excusing Adam here, mind you, but there are a few people who have posted here since this place existed (and even back in the Usenet era) of whom I have no idea what their actual names are (and it that wasn't gramatically correct, sue me).

There's a reason for that. I never was very good with names. Except for friends I have known for a long time, I have trouble remembering some people's names. If you all would send me an email with your real names, maybe I would remember them better. Anyway, I will now post my favorite and least favorite themes:

Faves:
Price is Right (current)- Simply the best theme of all time I think
Family Feud (Dawson and Combs)- Fit the country feel of the show well
Family Feud (Karn)- Again fits the feel of the show
Super Password- Awesome theme with a really cool intro
Classic Concentration- Really neat piano twist on one of the two versions of this makes it good to me, though that isn't to say the other version is bad either
Match Game (70's)- Timeless
Card Sharks/Double Dare (70's)- Makes you want to sit up and clap along with it

Least Faves:
Wheel of Fortune (current theme)- No substance to it all
Hot Potato- See above comment
Family Feud (Anderson)- Just like his version of the show, the theme stunk

That's about all I can think of now

I'll bite with the six and six:

Top o' the Line Goodness:

1. The Price is Right (1972)
2. Wheel of Fortune (1983-1989)
3. Jeopardy! (1984-1991, I honestly did not like when they threw out the first 17 seconds of the theme...seemed out of place to me)
4. $ale of the Century '83
5. Scrabble '84 (I know I am in the minority with that one!)
6. Card Sharks 1978 (Very well composed theme)

Bottom o' the Barrel Crap:

1. Pyramid (Osmond)
2. $ale of the Century '87 (I know I am once again in the minority with that one, but that version of the theme seemed too sterile and missed the closing bridge that the original theme had. Maybe the changes that came with the theme is helping me with this decision...)
3. All Star Blitz
4. Chain Reaction (Cullen, way too repetitive)
5. Go! (See no. 4)
6. The Wizard of Odds

These are, of course, in no particular order.

The Inquisitive One
This is the Way.

Time to toss my 2 cents into this thread...

Faves, in no order

1.  Hit Man
2.  Whew!
3.  Match Game 98
4.  Break the Bank 76
5.  Make Me Laugh 79, the vocal version
6.  The Love Experts
7.  The Challengers
8.  Now You See It--Chump Change
9.  The $10/$20/$25K Pyramid--Tuning Up
10.  Balderdash (not a typo)

Honorable mention simply for rhyming 'entertain ya' with 'Sylvania'--Beat the Clock "Lights on Broadway" from the early 50s

Least faves, again in no order

1.  Lingo, GSN 3rd season
2.  Family Feud, the theme used for ~90% of the Louie/Karn era
3.  Pyramid
4.  Gambit, the close music
5.  TJW--The Joker's Jive

And in an ironic twist of fate, "tvwxman" is neatly lettered inside my underwear.

I THOUGHT these were a little tight. ;)

Yeah, well, there's a reason the camera shot at the chroma key wall is tight.

Dammit.

Exactly.  If you're offended by people calling you by your screen name, then change your screen name to your real name.

I'm Bryan by the way, but you can call me ITSBRY. :-D

Dallas is to Family Feud what Dynasty was to Hot Potato.
Making Flamingo Road the equivalent of Match Game '98/99.
All I know about Flamingo Road was that it had a very catchy theme song.

All I want to remember from MG98 was that it had a very catchy theme song.

That analogy works for me.
And good too, cause in a different world, we'd all be asking how Fimily Fied was played....

I thought they used the same theme; sans for the short time they used the Combs' theme.

Well they did kinda, but if you listen closely to both, you'll notice the differences, and trust me they were for the better.
