What were the highest Jackpots on each version? Also, OT, who distributed the 1989 version?

It was around $6300 for the USA version, and in the $9K range for the 1989 syndie version(helped by that version's Double Dollars riddle and a few missed Jackpot riddles)

The Double Dollars riddle shows why it was worth it to only add money to the Jackpot after a riddle was answered correctly on the '89 version. The USA version may have had low stakes, but that's why it was worth to award a car for anyone who could solve all 15 riddles correctly, no to mention adding $1,000 to the Jackpot if the last riddle picked was the Jackpot riddle as well as the $10,000 prize for guessing the most riddles in a ten week period.

I also have on tape probably the cheapest riddle on the '89 version. Even Geoff thought so. It was worth only $55!

There were $50 riddles on the 80s versions.

The highest amount I remember seeing on the original version was about $7150. Geoff even joked that "if we don't solve a jackpot riddle soon, we'll have to build a 5-digit scoreboard!"

$50K for the 70s NBC version(the multiplier was 50 and the target was 995, so the show kicked in the extra $250 to make the SJ! $50K), however it was not won. The highest won in the 70s IIRC was $38,750(the riddle was the I'm a Carpenter and He's a Shepard, and we're both astronauts, as seen in the one existing episode of 70s Jackpot on the trading circuit). $9900 was the highest SJ possible in the USA version, and IIRC it did show up on the randomizer once was not won. $25K was the highest SJ possible in the 1989 syndie version or if it showed up on the randomizer, but I don't recall what the highest win was.
