Depending on your time zone, I know most of you will have one or more of your favorite syndicated game shows either pre-empted or possibly aired on a "delay" basis for network election coverage on November 2, 2004.

In the Greater Cincinnati area (which is in the Eastern Time Zone), the impacted shows will be Wheel of Fortune (7:00 P.M.) and Jeopardy (7:30 P.M.) on WCPO, the area's ABC affiliate.  (ABC will start their election return coverage at 7:00 P.M. ET.)  However, the station is planning to delay-broadcast both of those shows starting at 1:35 A.M. the next day -- but I'm assuming that is the case if either Bush or Kerry is declared a clear winner in the U.S. Presidential race by that time!

(But if that is not the case, then I hope ABC, NBC, and CBS will let their local affiliates air our favorite syndicated game shows the next day, and leave all the subsequent "continuing coverage" of the 2004 U.S. Presidential election to the Court TV cable channel!)

  • Just leave the set; that’d be terrific.

I'd expect to see it on C-Span, CNN, etc.

Of course, we're talking about a post from Ohio. Shouldn't surprise you.

Are you kidding? This time next week we'll be in the 5th full day of the recount. And there'll be non-stop team coverage everywhere, not just on Action News, where one moves closer to one's world. That means no game shows, no talk shows, no soap operas, no infomercials, no test patterns. You'd better be ready.

Well, just try to look at it as a game show where the winner gets the right to stay in a big white house for four years.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Well, if you listen to Casey Abell, the election IS a game show.

From what I read on Jeopardy.com TONIGHT'S SHOW(SATURDAY 11/6) will be NEW. They are doing the shows a day late so Ken's shows don't get pre-empted.

ABC on some or all of the East Coast had College Football running until a few minutes ago, so those who have an ABC station on the East Coast might have seen a J! pre-emption tonight. WPVI Philly's behind the scenes of the recent Philly WOF tapings scheduled to air at 7:30PM EST was preempted for Action News. Instead of relegating a Jennings game to Saturday, which means a large chunk of the country will never get to see it(as J! virtually never reruns regular shows during the summer), they could have skipped over the first game of the College tourney final.

In Columbus, it ran at 3:10am today--giving 10TV viewers two new shows within eight hours.

Care to post a spoiler (anywhere you see fit)?  Some of us don't get treated to that episode (but that double run of THE WEST WING must take precedence ;-) ).
