Match Game Question for the Savants
« on: October 25, 2004, 09:27:26 AM »
Inevitably when watching a football game involving the Baltimore Ravens, the question of Brian Billick on Match Game comes up.  Someone mentioned that he had to be the worst player in Match Game history.  I countered he would be one of the worst, since there were at least a few instances of a player going 0-fer on all of his or her three questions.

Then I thought of something else.  On the syndicated version, you would have played four questions, with a potential for going 0 for 24.  So, my question to your collectors of the esoteric and photographic knowledge of the arcane, has anybody done it?

Match Game Question for the Savants

Off the top of my head, I can tell you that two contestants during the last week of the second syndie season achieved the ultimate: They played both of their games to a zero-to-zero tie, which meant they had to play two tiebreakers (or, as McLean Stevenson referred to them when the game ended in a scoreless tie, two "dumboffs").
