Sports Illustrated lists it's top ten failed attempts of athletes at other fields of entertainment. Without peeking can you guess who made number nine?

But did ratings for Wheel really "plummet", as SI claims, after he took over?

They were in decline while Pat was still there, but changing the host didn't exactly help. Of course, changing hosts and networks six months after Rolf took over didn't help anymore. Wheel couldn't beat TPIR or CLassic Concentration or Combs Feud in the ratings when up against any of them. Though Wheel was for part of the 80s NBC's highest rated daytime program(excluding the Today show).

And, as I've pointed out many times, still second in its time slot to "TPIR"--which tells you how bad NBC was faring in daytime back then.
