Who Wants to Be a Weather-aire?
« on: November 01, 2004, 06:14:21 PM »
Okay, it's my biz, so i'm allowed to roll my eyes.

KTLA (Market 2 for you tv types) is doing a reality show style contest to fill a weather job..... Take a look at the 16 finalists and see who has a game show connection...

http://ktla.trb.com/news/local/special/ktl...-localspecial-1

On another note, it's sad to see how many broadcasters are in the pile, looking for a way into TV in LA..... one contestant, Gina, is a just fired weather chick from Miami.... kinda unfair, but what can you do?

Matt (who's REAL sorry he didn't send a tape)...

Actually, there are two---Ross King, who did John Ricci's "Combination Lock" pilot, was on there too.

There are three things I've learned never to discuss with people: Religion, politics, and the proper wrapping of microphone cables.

This coming from a station that employs (employed? I can only hope!) Mark Kriski, who wants to host a game show in the worst way, and has. Twice.

And I can't even spot the game show connection in that group of 16! I think I need to turn in my membership card!

Either could I.
Unless someone mistook Doug Norris for Doug Morris.

You know what's funny? I did that double take too...

The link.....Tami Anderson, in contestant pool #1, was the hostess on Card Sharks 2001, and a former Real World'er.

Ross King, as previously mentioned, hosted John Ricci's Combination Lock Pilot....

and neither of them know Kevin Bacon.

Oh, so that's what happened to him.

He's hosted proper shows in the UK as well.

Oh, I was insinuating that he's trying to become a weather presenter in the US, not that he sank without trace after hosting Combination Lock, in case anyone reads anything into that.

Still eh? Ross King, there.
