How come toward the last segment of the show, they have a blurry shot of the audience clapping, and a swirling familly fued logo?  Why don't they show the video that goes with the audio they play?  Bugs me each time I see it :)..

It was something that All-American productions added in when they started airing reruns of the show in 1995, so that people wouldn't see the phone number on the screen, and try to call thinking the show was still on the air.

Ahh...that's understandable, but it's still highly annoying.  Wouldn't it be easier to just blur out the phone number?

Not really, no. It's easier to replace the video with something you wouldn't have to sync up to the sound than with something that you would.
