Ken Jennings out of a job

It was reported by ABC Radio News that Ken just gave his two weeks notice at work. So now he's out of a job too. Damn... what a bad day this has been for Ken! ;-)

Lovely.  He takes off God knows how many "sick days" to attend tapings...and now he quits.   What a guy.

I hope Ken can find a job.  I don't want to see him working menial jobs like fast food.

According to this:

Ken will only take a leave of absence from his job.

Well ABC News said he quit. So I guess we'll have to watch all those interviews to see what Ken has to say.

By the way I just want to mention to Ken that my User name "Skynet74" is my way of paying tribute to the 74 games that you won on Jeopardy. Isn't that nice of me? So how much is that worth Buddy?

I'll be waiting for my check. ;-)

In an even funnier twist. My Local News just reported that H & R Block has just offered Ken free Tax preparation FOR LIFE. How funny is that? Kudos to H & R Block for not holding Ken's wrong answer in final Jeopardy against him. They sound like good sports.

Ken announced on Nightline that he's writing a book for Random House due to be released next year.

The twist is that the returns will be given to FedEx to deliver to the IRS and they will get lost due to a lack of seasonal employees.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

I hope this book isn't as dull as I think it will be.

It has to be a fairly short book.

"I walked into the studio for the first time feeling pretty nervous...."

"For my 30th game..."

"In my 50th appearance..."

I just don't think there's enough substance for a lengthy book.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

I'd imagine it would be more of a short account of his Jeopardy! run followed by tips on how to win the game.

Some interviews he's given have mentioned that he'd love to market a trivia game. That would be something I'd be interested in seeing. It's called "Can You Beat Ken?"

So far, only one person can say they can.

Hey--how about Ken doing a show for Comedy Central where three contestants try to go up against him and win his money.  The categories can have joke names, a smartass former modern rock radio sportscaster can be Ken's sidekick and co-host and the end game can be Ken and the day's winner in twin isolation booths trying to answer the same 10 questions.

What?  They already did that show and GSN's already rerunning it?  :)

Not that he needs to work anymore anyway, given his huge winnings.

So...'twas FedEx killed The Beast.

He mentioned on "Regis and Kelly" today that University Games is working on it with him, and it will be formally introduced at the February Toy Fair in New York. So there will actually be a "Can You Beat Ken" game.
