IIRC, in the early years of Match Game 7x/PM, when Gene would read a Dumb Dora question, after saying she was "so dumb," Brett Somers would constantly interrupt him with the "How dumb was she?" line before the audience started asking that. When did the audience take over the "How dumb" line?

1978 or 1979. It was pretty common, especially in the daily syndie years, for Gene to let the audience repeat the How Dumb was She if they didn't sound too enthusiastic the first time(a la Barker when a contestant doesn't say That's Too Much to his liking)
