I remember visiting some relatives in Maryland in c. 1991, and TJW was airing at 12 noon. I'm pretty sure it was the DC affiliate.

You know, I hate these posts.... they remind me of that moron poster who used to post things like 'Can you tell me what affiliates aired the 2nd season of Bullseye in 1982? Thanks and I love Kline and Friends'.

That said, yes, the DC NBC affil WRC aired Joker at noon, then switching it to 9:30am....that was replaced in January by Davidson Pyramid....

I'm not making fun of you--I just want to make sure that wasn't a typo. They really ran at 4-5AM? If so, did they start there in the fall of 1990 or were they moved there after the ratings went sour?
I do recall the treatment The Challengers received in Cleveland where they eventually played at 5am. And in Columbus, it was moved from 7pm to 2am.

What was the best thing about TTD'90?  Its short lifespan...

And in answer to Zach's question, KOTV in Tulsa aired TJW'90 at (IIRC) 3:30pm for the entirety of its run.

I wish we could go back to the days of cash syndication rather than the barter that is the rule today.  That way, the station is paying for the show and has a vested interest in putting a show on in a good time slot (and of course, keeps all the commercial inventory).  Back in 83, the syndie WOF went unsold in NYC.  Try getting any show launched today without a New York station on board.  Not every market may take a show, but those that do pay cash wouldn't dump it into overnight.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

The stations wouldn't stand for it.  Most of the A-list shows, including "Wheel" and "J!", already operate on a "cash plus" arrangement where the station pays a hefty sum *and* gives the syndicator 90 seconds to 2 minutes air time for national spots.  Correct me if I'm wrong, but without cash plus, wouldn't the syndicator try to jack the price up even more so that the station couldn't make the money from those extra 90 seconds to 2 minutes of spots unless they charged Super Bowl-size rates?

Said poster IIRC lives in KYW Phila. country/WNBC NYC country, where TJW90 and TTD90 aired between 4-5AM for their entire run. KYW, however, aired TJW and TTD from 4:30-5:30AM on Saturday morning(Friday episode)
