And in a fit of karmic retribution, when Tomarken finally got his own price-the-item show, it was... Bargain Hunters! :-p

It doesn't account for why Charlie O'Donnell subbed for Rod for 2 tape days though, perhaps Rod did some work on Kennedy's TPIR, perhaps?

Rod did announce the last two months of Kennedy's TPIR, so it is possible.

Well, PYL taped every other Saturday and Sunday, and TPIR taped Mon-Tue-Wed, so their taping schedules didn't overlap at all.

That's not really what I meant...I was referring to how far before air each show was taping its episodes.

I think about one month for PYL.

Peter announces that the 3rd HPG starts "one week from today", so PYL is now at 10/15/85 as of this coming Saturday's airing, and GSN skipped exactly one episode. That is all.

Well, that's certainly true, and a relief to know where we are finally on the schedule. This is only the 2nd time ever that GSN has had to skip an episode for some unknown (to us) reason. And no, Larson's shows don't really count because that was a deal in progress the whole time, and they presented them in a way cool fashion.

But like I said, the whole problem this time was that unlike way back in the first HPS contest, when they skipped Day 14, we knew exactly how much we lost because they were keeping count of the days. Here, we didn't have that luxury. Imagine if the HPS didn't come for another month of shows...

And now, for the real BIG BUCKS question: What was so wrong with episode 529 that GSN couldn't air it?

To all of you with GSN inside connections, you're on the clock (or OF the clock, as Millionaire put it today).
