More importantly - and Don Howard might be able to help me out here - how many colors of light were there?

Zero.

----------

ZERO??? OK Maybe I did not make myself clear. ZERO for the actual Board that turned. Think it's called a Trilian??? But I'm not talking about that. I'm talking about the rest of the wall unit. The one with all the sequential flashing lights. All those little white light bulbs that look like the type you put in your Car.

The fast money/logo board is called a Ferranti-Packard system. (Or is it Packer?) The entire turntable is called a trilon.

Now just so I understand, why do you care how many bulbs were on the wall?

This is worse than someone asking whether or not the 1984 logo of Jeopardy was yellow; or what color the LAT space on Wheel is. Pure crap that service no purpose, IMNSHO...

The part that "chases" to show points going into a family's bank?

I have no idea.

(Sorry for the earlier smartassery--you say "big board", I think "game board".)

I counted 562 (Yes, I did actually bother to count them!) if you don't count the flashing lights around the Feud logo shown at the beginning of the show

Ok, how many lights on the MG 7x set? (running for cover)

Coming from someone here who has redrawn the first two sets of Family Feud, I can't tell you exactly how many lights there are but I can say that there's an extra row of lights directly below the trilon board in the Comb's version.

Which ever way you look at it, there's a whole lot of friggin' lights on it and I'm sure it's expensive to operate.

On a side note...didn't Pat mention one time how many light bulbs were in the WOF $25000 sign?  Am I making that up?  It sticks in my mind for some reason...not the number, but just that he said how many (and I know it wasn't 1.5 million!).

In the grand scheme of things it certainly is not important. I just ask out of curiosity. I don't ever recall another game show with so many flashing Lights on the set. Every time I would watch the show I would look at that board and kind of wonder in the back of my mind how many lights there were on that Board. Then I also wondered how often those lights would blow out. I'm sure they had to be replaced constantly as they blew out one by one.

Near My house there is a Pizza Place who has had an outside sign with the same type of flashing lights. That sign has been there since the 1970's and I swear that they NEVER replace those damn bulbs. The sign used to have a nice chasing lights sequence. But now only three or four bulbs light up and it looks pathetic. Thank God they wern't that Lazy when it came to replacing the Feud bulbs. lol

Of course.... none of this really matters to anyone but me. Well I guess that it matters to "ITSBRY" too since he actually counted them! Thanks man.

I'm just in the mood to ramble anyway. Thanks for listening everyone.

First off, it was Matt who counted them, not Bryan.
Second of all, I'm inclined to believe Mr. Kaiser was jesting. If he wasn't...then I don't know what to say.

I can't believe I'm contributing to this one, but, um, Press Your Luck's set I do believe had more. And no, I'm not going to count them.
