[quote name=\'aaron sica\' date=\'May 15 2005, 11:24 AM\']I am simply amazed at the popularity of this thread. In glancing at the "view" field, some of the threads here have been viewed not even 1,000 times. There's a few in the thousands. This thread? 18,000+.

Well, when you have the same amount of cues released for years on end, not to mention this stuff is so good and guarded like FBI secrets, I'm not suprised.
Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

I'm not surprised either, but I just can't fathom in my head the idea of a thread being viewed 18,000 times. :)

If it's any consolation, the golden-road.net version of this thread has (at this moment) 16,678 views and a whopping 293 replies.

Interestingly enough, the "Millionaire Questions" thread, which had 438 replies (the all-time record), only had 9,702 views.

The "More GS themes" thread I started back in November had 167 replies, but 22,384 views (the all-time record).

I guess people like game show cue threads. :D

From website:

"1983 Showcase Music - not complete, but good enough for now"

Hmmm. Planning on getting the whole cue? Maybe I'm reading too much into that.

Aaah! I've been outdone! Curses! Curses! Damn you, Casey! ;-)

Totally kidding, man. I almost feel guilty listening to these cues for free. You are definitely on my Christmas cyber-greeting-card list this year. :-)

Sorry I'm so far behind in offering my kudos, but I haven't been online since the first week of May.

Sir, I hereby dub you Saint Casey of TPIR Musicdom.  The Phone Home Game snippet is an absolute gem, a cue I have hunted for endlessly over the past seven years.  Absolutely beautiful!

The site is sometimes updated with cues without notification here. Not that that is a bad thing. I check it every so often.

There is a TPIR Cue 30 and just put up there today is a MG/HS theme in perfect quality.

It may be way late to save some of the great "Price" music from being arbitrarily renamed, but the cue referred to as "TPIR Car Music" aka the full mix of "Cue 30" was labelled "Showcase 56" on the original MacKenzie loop at 33.

Just out of curiosity... we have the Phone Home Game intro cue, which is all sorts of awesome, but wasn't there a full music cue with the same open?  IIRC, it was used in the old days for prize reveals prior to Race Game and Take Two.  Wonder if that one's out there somewhere...

They still use it.

And speaking of cues...

Expect to hear more new cues on the show soon (relatively speaking). And they are not from Michael Karp, Score Productions or Mr. Kalehoff.

The '72 motorbike/cycle cue is Cue 59.

And as for Randy's latest post here.... Could the cues have been changed last-minute?  Or, maybe it was just a mislabel, as the Cue 56 we know and love is aka "Showcase 2."  ("Showcase 1" = Cue 54)

The only times I heard the full version of the PHG cue were when they revealed the prizes in Take Two and Race Game, and also as a showcase cue (I think it was mainly for the "game room" showcases ["game room" meaning pool tables, pinball machines, and arcade games]). I assume it's still used every now and then.

Can anyone who's heard this one tell us more about Jenny and Mindy?

Any chance of any more updates to the site? The page was constantly getting additions every week, but have been stopped for months. However, for the people who never had them before, or had them in lower qualities, we are very greatful for the service.
