I'm going to give you a nickel's worth of free advice. Go back to lurking for a while.
Now to theorize the answer to the OP question posed way back when, Fremantle might want to disassociate the current FF with the old guard. TPIR continues to have the logo, I'm guessing, because there's still a good deal of old-school presentation associated with it (the host, music, many of the pricing games, behind-the-scenes staff, etc.).

Actually, I believe Price got permission from Fremantle to keep the Goodson logo as a matter of tradition.

Rich Fields didn't have any Mrs. Fields cookies left(which his wife baked), so he ate the damn logo to hold him over.
