There is a thread on g-r stating that the upcoming MDS specials may be taping in Vegas. ClockgameJohn, do you have any confirmation of this?

TIA

Just to back him up ('cuz _I_ know the first thing _I_ thought of was "good lord, Adam's at it again", here's the citation of the relevant news article:

http://u.presstelegram.com/Stories/0,1413,...2660137,00.html

...which has it pretty much from the horse's mouth.

I'm with Steve, I don't know why the hell they're even considering doing this again. Of course, Bob doesn't have to deal with the logistics, so this could be the ol' Exec Producer winging himself a free trip to Vegas at the expense of many many production headaches.

I always thought that the show could work on the road again...just don't use the Rio. Or better yet, PLAN for people to show up!

If it does materialize I'm sure they'll avoid previous mistakes, but again that had more to do with Casino security/setup than anything else.

It was a novelty the first time since it was never done before. To do it again, in the same city no less, is questionable.

You want a production headache, tape this in Atlantic City.

I wouldn't go 50 feet near this considering how many people will show up.

They should also charge for tickets.

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Sorry I didn't get to this earlier...

The only thing I can officially confirm is that there are talks with certain locations in Las Vegas to tape a show there once again.  The article you read has the most information that we can provide right now.

With that, I'd suspect it will happen.

Watch them tape at a Harrah's/Harrah's-owned casino.

Assuming they could produce a showroom capable of handling the technical specifications of the show, that would be the first place I would call. Makes perfect sense from a business standpoint.

During a break in one of today's tapings, Bob announced some dates to the studio audience, though he didn't say anything about where the specials would tape. I don't want to list the dates until an official announcement is made, just in case, but the three dates are all one right after another. So unless they plan to switch locations in less than 24 hours, I would GUESS that all three specials will tape in the same place (wherever that place might be).

Does that mean anything?

I'd rather they tape it in a Nebraska cornfield.

I don't mind TPIR doing a show from a Nebraska cornfield except that:

A.  The weather has to be perfect & preferably in the daytime(doubt if they transport the lighting used on there).

B.  The field has to be large enough to hold all the copy props(they don't ACTUALLY transport the actial props since it's very costly & some games are very fragile) & the people(workers & audience members) there.

Besides, I like the idea someone suggested on golden-road.net that they'd do a show from the Hollywood Bowl ampitheater.  That would be neat to see.

Someone said last night that we'd found a lover for Iris.  I think now we've identified her future brother-in-law.

...back again.

It appears that the show will now stay at CBSTVC and will tape in March.
