[quote name=\'GS Warehouse\' date=\'Feb 3 2005, 02:30 PM\']If the IMDB entry isn't proof enough that the rapper was indeed Chris Wylde,
this article on MSNBC.com is. It goes on to say how ridiculous the early auditions have become. We all know we're being shown more and more bad and absurd (and both) auditions this year than in seasons past. Furthermore, at the AI newsgroup, there are theories that the producers planted a few people in front of the judges for TV purposes (conflict + humiliation = ratings). Among them: a 44-year-old man who claimed to be 28 but looks more like Paul McCartney IMHO, a pair of twins who ranted at the cameras that they were forced to sing together (both tried again at separate cities, and only one passed), and a girl who actually was a decent singer but was turned down because of her cow costume. I could go on, but I won't. I'm just saying it wouldn't be a surprise if Chris was one of those "plants".

You forgot the mime. Yes, a mime on a singing competition.
And it doesn't help when wacky morning teams are sending their interns so that they can blurt out a "Q104 plays much more music!" or "X106 rocks, 'Idol' sucks!" in front of the judges, which will probably be edited out.
