Pyramid figures into sitcom subplot

Clever B-story on last Wednesday's ep (sorry, just got around to watching it on TiVo tonight). A clip of one of Jerry Stiller's appearance on "$20,000 Pyramid" was the impetus for Stiller's character launching a plan to force Dick Clark to pay him the year's supply of Rice-a-Roni that he never received.

The ep total is "Gym Neighbors", for those who want to keep an eye out fir the rerun.

What Stiller appearance was shown? It might be something GSN never got around to showing, maybe even something pre-1978(he was on a 1976 week of shows with Lee Meriwether)

Well, according to Kris Lane's Pyramid archives, he only made on other appearance, in late 1976 with June Lockhart. So do the math.
"Do I really wanna get in on this, Dave?"

-"Ah it depends if you're on cable or network, probably..."
