Not to throw this thread too far off topic, but if you don't like the current google beta layout, you can use the classic layout here:

Enjoy lots and lots of backstage TPIR photos and other fun stuff here. And yes, I did park in Syd Vinnedge's parking spot at CBS

Didn't USA Today report Willard Scott did a pilot(or at least was under consideration) for what would become the 1991-92 version?

No pilot was taped for the Davidson version, and Willard Scott was just under consideration.

If Willard Scott had hosted Pyramid, nobody under age 100 would have watched.

[quote name=\'PaulD\' date=\'Feb 22 2005, 08:22 PM\']And finally were any of these versions made for NBC as I believe the 'Game Show 75' site mentions?

I think the million dollar Pyramid was for NBC...wasn't Jason Alexander tapped for that one? However, I want to say NBC might've been involved in a syndie daytime pilot, perhaps to have aired with daytime WL?

Then again, maybe not.

For those who may be interested, I just found a very brief 1997 article mentioning Chuck Woolery possbily being the new Pyramid host.

Probably because, as you would know if you'd bothered to read back in the thread, he'd done a pilot for same in - gasp - 1997.

Ummm, I believe that I did read this thread and I DID see it was mentioned about Woolery on Pyramid, but I thought I'd like to back that information up even more with an article from CNN.

Can't you host 2 shows at the same time?

Sure, you can host 2 shows at the same time. Bill Cullen did Hot Potato and The Joker's Wild in 1984 at the same time. Heck, in Early 1991, Alex Trebek did Jeopardy, Classic Concentration, AND To Tell The Truth at the same time!

I think it's all dependent upon how the host feels about working so much.
