I know, I don't get GSN...but Lingo announcer Randi Thomas was the announcer at the Academy Awards tonight! (She had to inform us that Hilary Swank was the first person to be nominated for Best Actress for portraying a boxer!)

IMDB says she was the Oscar announcer in 2003 and past ATGS posts say that she was the announcer in the 1990s.

AND????

What's new about that?  She's a common voice on the Oscars.  In fact, she once worked an award show with Neil Ross.  And what did Neil Ross do for a living?

You reeeeeeally need to get out more.

And take Horan with you. Go to the park, the museum, the library...just stay out of the game show section...or anything TV related for that matter.

Randy's good, but I like "Celebrity Sweepstakes" announcer Dick Tufeld better for award shows.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

Ah, yes, the Lost In Space narrator and voice of the robot. He's outstanding. I know Charlie O. has done the Oscars at least once. Has John Harlan ever voiced those proceedings?

I'm almost certain he has. IMDB doesn't agree with me, but you know what I think of IMDB. Especially when the target program isn't an M, if ya know what I mean.

John Harlan did a bunch of Oscars shows in the 1970's. Charlie O'Donnell did it in either 1989 or 1990; I think that was the only one he did. Randy Thomas has done it more recently; one year Peter Coyote did it (what a terrific voice he has), and I think they used Glenn Close and someone else whom I don't remember the following year.

Tufeld still has a great voice. When they made that "Lost In Space" movie a few years ago, they asked him back to do the voice of the Robot.

I remember that year......Heard him, and I thought to myself: "WHO IS THAT?!?!" He did do pretty good.

ObGameshows: Alan Kalter announced the Grammys [IIRC] 2 years ago.
