I think it was meant to be pretty corny, why else would they use that crazy All-Star Blitz music?! LOL

This week on Oprah's post-Oscar show, they used the 60's version of the Truth Or Consenquences theme over a piece on how long it took to set up on Oscar night.

Did they play the All-Star Blitz win cue when Moses discovered the tablets?

Here's a semi-obvious one:

The Family Feud theme was originally used as a PiR car cue.

Hmmm...what's the verdict on this? Since TPiR started using it in that capacity around the same time FF premiered (TPiR's 1000th ep, which aired in July 76, is believed to have been the first time said cue was used), I can't figure out of it was a TPiR cue that was re-arranged for FF (the version heard on TPiR has no banjo section), or the other way around.

The verdict is that it was written for "Family Feud" all the way.  TPIR simply borrowed one piece of the package.
Let's Make a Deal was the first show to air on Buzzr. 6/1/15 8PM.

The "Switcheroo" music in the 90's and the clip from "Switch" is common sports blooper music as well.

I recall hearing it in a 1992 ep of Baywatch that spoofed Gilligan's Island, when the castaways set up their living arrangement in a fast-motion sequence.

Here's another example: USA used the 1987 Blockbusters themes in a couple of movie promos about 10 years ago. It might have shown up in other places too.

Yep...John Ricci has a clip of an old Addams Family NES game commercial that used it as background music.

They used that same piece (Stop Gap) as a bed for a hotel plug on some major awards show in the mid-90s.

The music for Easy As 1-2-3 is a piece taken from a popular production library

Shortly after Easy as 1-2-3 started using said piece (originally, there was no music when the contestant placed the blocks), it turned up - coincidentally - in a commercial for a "not sold in any store" automatic sorting coin bank called Easy Money.

The Easy As 1-2-3 Cue is actually called "Clownin' Around" and is from the Killer Tracks library.

I've also heard ToC used for a cable company ad waaaaaaaaay back when.  I can't remember if it was before or after TCI bought out Storer Cable.

It was a TPIR cue originally, then borrowed for the Feud theme. Too many people were associating that cue with Feud when it played on Price (as opposed to Feud playing a Price cue), so they just stopped using it.

Gee, I'd think the game show music most appropriate for church would be something from "Truth or Consequences"...

That's more appropriate for Washington, D.C.
