One of VH-1 Classic's marathon ideas including such works of art such as behind the music and Yo! MTV Raps brings us....REMOTE CONTROL....They've been promoing it during the Pop-up-a-thon they're doing right now.

I'm not making this up!  I haven't found the date in question, but it will be on a sunday, we're going to see it in a 6, count it 6 hour marathon!

Get your TiVo read!

I saw this promo yesterday.  I think they are doing classic MTV shows on classic VH-1 on Saturday's and Sunday's from 1-6 I think.  But I did hear it was Saturdays and Sundays.

It won't be this weekend. As per the VH1C message board, today saw a marathon of Pop-Up Video and tomorrow will see an UNplugged marathon.

It won't be next weekend either. Next weekend's offerings are Storytellers and YO! MTV Raps. Looks like the pattern for the marathons is classic VH1 shows on Sat. and classic MTV shows on Sunday, so if that's the case, RC would be on a Sunday. It's just a guess, they had Pop Up Video on Saturday (VH1 produced), UNPlugged on a Sunday (MTV Produced). Storytellers is a VH1 show and is on Sat., YO! is an MTV show and is on Sun.

Anyway, I'm really excited about this, and hopefully it won't be a one time deal. I have a RC tape and it's about time for a new one. I wonder if they'll give us a sampling of shows with different hostesses and maybe even the syn. version?

One thing I noticed about today's Pop-Up Video marathon--no commercials, at least during the first hour and the final two hours.  Will VH1 air 16 eps. of Remote Control in a 6-hour span?

This is a pleasant surprise.  For the first time in over two years, I'm glad I have VH1 Classic on the basic tier.

VH1 Classic has recently added commercials for things other than VH1 or VH1 Classic programming. They air maybe one or two non-promo commercials an hour(Eharmony.com is a popular advertiser on there these days). They may well air 12 or 14 eps. of RC.

Now let's get VH1-C to pull out Turn it Up or Idiot Savants out of mothballs, but no Singled Out or Lip Service or Rumor Has It.

I'd like to see a My Generation/Remote Control weekend sometime later this month or next month.  Hopefully if the snow's finally gone by then & I might return to Pennsylvania by then.  Or how about a Pop Up Video/Headbangers Ball weekend, that would ROCK!

Odd question: Can any fellow western Washington residents tell me what channel this is on Comcast Digital Cable?

Pop-Up Video was yesterday.

TiVo has Saturday 3/19's block as Behind the Music.  As someone previously mentioned, it does indeed look like the pattern is VH1 shows on Saturday, MTV fare on Sunday.

What's the matter; too hard to look at the channel guide yourself?

Go here and type in your zip code.
It took me, about 5 seconds to figure this out.

Or, instead of taking all of that time to be a snippy jerk, you could have just answered the question, which is 473.

I DID look, thank you very much. The closest thing I could find was VH1-CR, which is 473; I though that was VH1-Classic Rock (or at least that's what I was told a while ago; maybe they changed it since then).

Seems like HML can't figure out that VH1CR stands for VH1 Classic Rock.

EDIT:  Dave, I've corrected the overquoting.  Seems to have been caused by HML and not caught by me.

Seems as though neither of you knows the meaning of "overquoting."
