I have not reacqunated with myself with the Chuck Barris show Treasure Hunt and used to love it as a kid and wished GSN still aired it. I kind of had a crush on Geoff Edwards as a kid. Anybody else a fan of either the show or Geoff's??

Yeah many of us are fans of Geoff(and even of that show, which Geoff was one of the redeeming qualities of). Geoff made even bigger fans out of us when he posted to this community when we were on Usenet several years back.

Trust me, you'll find several fans of Geoff here.

These days, Geoff does a lot of travel writing and shares his thoughts on www.nospintravel.com.

If you ask me I loved the way he wore his hair back during the 1973-1977 run of the show. Not curly as it is now and also the 1981-1982 show. Like straight hair!! That "smart aleck" personality of his during the show's run seemed to bring out the brightest of his as that was his best work if you ask me.

I'm not sure that's a worry for Geoff anymore.

LOL! I saw Geoff a few months back. He's not exactly qualified to be a donor for the "Hair Club"! But he's still very much a rascal - bright and friendly with a razor sharp sense of humor. FYI: He's now a member of the Society of American Travel Writers.

He's a nice guy (and he was the one who made that point to me; I wouldn't have known!).

He was putting together a proposal for a travel book for me a couple years back, but nothing came of it (I could still accept it now, although I'm no more of an editor now than I was then).  Geoff's brother Owen cowrote Netscape Time for SMP a few years back, so he was surprised to hear I'd worked on his brother's book.

I also heard a lot of women threw or wanted to throw themselves at poor Geoff. Wonder what his wife would had thought about that during the show's entire run!!
